Terms of Service

1. General

These Terms of Service govern the use of the Projekto project management service ("Service") provided by Digitoimisto Aave Digital Oy (Business ID: 2627786-8), Kokkola, Finland ("Provider"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

2. Service Description

Projekto is a cloud-based project management service. Each customer organisation ("Customer") receives a dedicated, isolated instance accessible at a subdomain of projekto.fi. The Service includes project management, task management, file storage, time tracking, and communication tools as described on the Service website.

3. Accounts and Access

  • The Customer is responsible for all activity under their account
  • Login credentials are personal and must not be shared
  • The Customer must promptly notify the Provider of any unauthorised access
  • The Provider reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms

4. Customer Obligations

  • Use the Service in compliance with Finnish law and applicable EU regulations
  • Not upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
  • Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials
  • Not attempt to access other customers' data or interfere with the Service
  • Not use the Service for automated data scraping, spam, or other abusive purposes

5. Data Ownership and Processing

  • The Customer retains full ownership of all data they upload or create in the Service
  • The Provider processes Customer data only to provide the Service and as described in the Privacy Policy
  • The Provider does not access Customer data except for technical support when explicitly granted by the Customer, or to comply with legal obligations
  • Upon termination, the Customer may export their data. Data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account closure

6. Availability and Support

The Provider aims to maintain high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible. The Provider offers support via email and through the in-app support access feature.

7. Pricing and Payment

  • The Service is provided on a subscription basis at the prices published on projekto.fi
  • All prices are in euros and exclude VAT (25.5%) unless otherwise stated
  • Invoices are payable within 14 days of issue
  • The Provider reserves the right to suspend access for unpaid invoices that are more than 30 days overdue
  • Pricing changes are communicated at least 30 days in advance and take effect at the next billing period

8. Limitation of Liability

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties beyond those required by Finnish law
  • The Provider is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss caused by service interruptions
  • The Provider's total liability is limited to the fees paid by the Customer during the 12 months preceding the claim
  • This limitation does not apply to damages caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of Digitoimisto Aave Digital Oy. The Customer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for the duration of their subscription. The Customer's own data and content remain their property.

10. Termination

  • Either party may terminate the subscription by giving 30 days' written notice
  • The Provider may terminate immediately if the Customer materially breaches these terms
  • Upon termination, the Customer may request a data export within 30 days
  • After the 30-day period, all Customer data is permanently deleted

11. Changes to These Terms

The Provider may update these terms. Material changes are communicated at least 30 days in advance via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may terminate your subscription.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be settled by the District Court of Ostrobothnia, Finland. Consumers may also bring claims to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi).
